5 Can’t Miss Movies and TV shows – Week of April 22nd

Here on Binge Sequence we will be giving a weekly updated list of titles that should be prioritized. A top 5 of sorts. The purpose of the list is to steer each other in the right direction.

Week of April 22nd – What to Watch:

Game Of Thrones

Winter has finally come for the people of Westeros. Game of Thrones wraps up its eighth and final season with the show’s last ten episodes airing these next two months. What will become of the King of the North? Can the Mother of Dragons reclaim her throne? You’d better get those HBO free trials on and popping.

Happy!

Here is one you’ve never heard before, a down on his luck police officer turned hired gun is on a mission to redeem himself when a girl goes missing. Can he get his life together fast enough to find her kidnapper before anything happens to her? He just might with the help of her imaginary, blue Unicorn friend named Happy! This show is fantastically bonkers and a real treat. It mixes fantasy and friendship with vulgarity and just plain wrong. This SyFy original is in its second season and can be found, in part, on Hulu and Netflix.

The Twilight Zone

Jordan Peele is still topping television most watchable shows with his Twilight Zone reboot on CBS All Access. Watch as he merges the old style mystery of the original with his modern, horror based deep-dives into today’s social issues in… The Twilight Zone.

What We Do In The Shadows

Back in 2014, director Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnorak and Hunt for the Wilderpeople) created a mockumentary about the lives of five vampires in the modern era. The film is truly a work of art and hilarity and is available on Amazon Prime if you have not seen it. Now, FX has allowed him to produce a television series of the same name about a new set of vampires and their life on Staten Island. The show’s lead writer is the co-creator of the original film and comedian Jemaine Clement (Flight of the Conchords and Legion). Weekly episodes are available on FXNOW.

Shazam!

If you haven’t seen it already, the number one movie in the world is still in theaters. Shazam! blends fun, fantasy and fear all in a lovely pot and serves the most unique and endearing form of gumbo you can have in a big budget blockbuster. Watch the pleasant restructuring of the “Worlds of DC” right before your eyes.

What else are you watching this week?

Movies, Shows and other must watch items can stay on the list for up to 4 weeks! Other titles may just appear for a week or two! Thanks for stopping by and remember add your recommendations in the comments below and subscribe to Binge Sequence to see what makes next week’s must watch list.
