Angel Has Fallen trailer and more upcoming sequels flying under the radar

The IMDB description for the upcoming Angel Has Fallen is as follows:

“Secret Service Agent Mike Banning is framed for the attempted assassination of the President and must evade his own agency and the FBI as he tries to uncover the real threat.”

Gerard Butler will be back for the third time as action hero Mike Banning in the sequel to Olympus Has Fallen and London Has Fallen. How can you protect the President when you’re the one who has fallen? Check out this trailer below:

While it may not be as high profile as Star Wars, Spider-Man or Avatar, it will be an interesting sequel to a pretty crazy franchise. So, what other sequels are primed for release that may fall to the wayside under all of the big boy summer blockbusters on the way?

The Secret Life of Pets 2

The cast of the impressive yet not overwhelmingly lauded The Secret Life of Pets will all be returning with the exception of the lead role actor. Patton Oswalt will be stepping in for Louis C.K., who did not reprise his role in the film due to the scandal and allegations against him in the past two years.

Rambo V: Last Blood

Stallone returns to bring the Rambo franchise to a close after 37 years. This time, Rambo takes on the Mexican cartel. There is no trailer as of yet, but Sly has been on a roll these last few films. With its mid-August release date, I’m sure it’ll be a real treat.

Zombieland: Double Tap

A sequel to the 2009 dark comedy, that got in on the zombie-craze early, is set to drop this October. With the main cast returning, they’ve added Rosario Dawson, Thomas Middleditch and even Dan Aykroyd to the project. Just when you thought it was safe to go outside.

Terminator: Dark Fate

After two failed reboot attempts with Terminator: Salvation and Terminator Genisys, the franchise has decided to dive back into its roots by returning to the story of the original three films. Linda Hamilton rejoins the cast reprising her iconic role of Sarah Connor. Of course, Arnold Schwarzenegger will be back again as The Terminator. The film is slated for early November of this year.

What sequels are you looking forward to? Do you prefer films to be one-and-done?
