5 Can’t Miss Movies and TV Shows – Week of June 24th

Here on Binge Sequence we will be giving a weekly updated list of titles that should be prioritized. A top 5 of sorts. The purpose of the list is to steer each other in the right direction.

Week of June 24th – What to Watch:

The most interesting and unorthodox superhero show on television is on its way back for a third season. Legion, on FX, follows David Haller. Haller is a paranoid schizophrenic with something lurking deep inside of his psyche. Comic fans may recognize him as the son of Professor Xavier, but viewers get to witness the journey and discovery of his life, powers and purpose. Season 3 takes our friend further down the rabbit hole, like Alice.

Annabelle Comes Home

Yet another film about the demonic dolly, Annabelle Comes Home finally tells the story of when Ed and Lorraine Warren first acquire Annabelle and place her in their den of spiritual artifacts. Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga return as the life-saving, demon exorcizing couple from The Conjuring.

Who hasn’t fantasized about being the singer of your favorite song? The fame, the respect and all that comes along is just the icing on the cake. Yesterday follows a man who realizes that nobody remembers the Beatles, except for him. So, the next logical step is to become a famous recording artist using one of music’s greatest catalogs.

The Loudest Voice

Showtime’s new mini-series chronicles the dramatized true story of how Fox News came to be. Russel Crowe plays Roger Ailes, Chairman and CEO of Fox News. The show will follow the rise and fall of Ailes up to his passing in 2017. Notably, common Fox News critic and Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane plays the company’s head of public relations.

Luc Besson has directed some of the most interesting films in the last few decades: Leon: The Professional, The Fifth Element and Lucy. His last film, Valerian and The City of A Thousand Planets, was not very well received. That being said he has always succeeded to captivate you with an interesting world around the film. Anna looks to be a classic “badass bombshell” film action packed with some highly entertaining fights and set pieces.
