5 Can’t Miss Movies and TV Shows – Week of July 1st

Here on Binge Sequence we will be giving a weekly updated list of titles that should be prioritized. A top 5 of sorts. The purpose of the list is to steer each other in the right direction.

Week of July 1st – What to Watch:

Stranger Things

The third season of Stranger Things will be out on the 4th of July and will follow the Hawkins gang in another new adventure. How do they stop a monster that they trapped here themselves? Will these kids ever get a chance to have a normal childhood? Will Hellboy just fight off the monster single-handedly? Find out this Independence Day.

Spider-Man: Far From Home

Our first MCU film set after the third and final gauntlet snap is here. How will Peter deal with all of the aftermath of the big battle with Thanos, the five year time gap and the death of Tony Stark? Is Mysterio really from another universe or is Quentin Beck just lying to seem like some big hero? Watch Peter swing back into action for his Europe vacation.

Let’s go to that outdoor festival we’ve been reading about. How bad could it be? This is the question that will be answered by Ari Aster, director of 2018’s terrifying film Hereditary. Aster is back with his next disturbing story about cults, rituals and just bad times in general.

Young Justice: Outsiders

The DC Universe original season of Young Justice returns after a mid-season break. The highly rated third season about the teen heroes will be available to stream as released on the app. Hopefully, Warner Bros. gives us enough time to enjoy the series before their inevitable absorption into a greater WB streaming service.

30 For 30

ESPN’s 30 For 30 documentary series has yielded many interesting films during its tenure. This week is no different with the upcoming film The Good, The Bad, The Hungry. The show will take a deep dive into the annual Independence Day eating competition held by Nathan’s Hot Dogs. There has been a long standing rivalry between the top two competitors in the event: Joey Chestnut and Takeru Kobayashi. Get all of the background behind the biggest one-on-one battle in the history of competitive eating.
